Abbotsham Objection To Chalets

‘Astride crest of ridge’

18.8.1961 Property Abbotsham

Scheme for the erection of 42 to 50 chalets in two fields on the skyline at Gainsborough, Abbotsham, has been submitted to Bideford Rural Council by Mr A P Tucker.

But the Council’s Public Health and Housing Committee, meeting on Tuesday, recommended that the application be refused.

Abbotsham Parish Council have told the Rural Council that they are opposed to the scheme because the site is astride the crest of a ridge and is visible as far away as Clovelly.
