The crowning of Hartland's Carnival Queen in August 1972

In the picture (left to right) are: Miss Shirley Heard (attendant), the Carnival Queen (Miss Susan Heard), last year's Queen (Miss Pat Dennis) who performed the crowning, and Mrs Rosemary Westlake (attendant). Miss Heard and her two attendants will have the place of honour at the Carnival.
