From Cairo the Editor has received together with the photograph of the four Bidefordians concerned, the following cheery letter which he feels sure will find an echo in many a heart.
‘Like everyone else separated from their families by thousands of miles, our thoughts are continually turning to our own little corner in the West, and it goes without saying that one of the delights of overseas life is to meet someone who knows the Little White Town and its noted personalities. Mr C S F Harding; Mr Gorvett; Granfer Giddy, and a hundred others were all remembered with warm hearts’.
