It was confirmed that the Ministry of Defence are to construct a £500,000 dish aerial to handle messages transmitted by way of satellite. Cleave Camp, Morwenstow, standing in open country close to the site of what was the home of the renowned Sir Richard Grenville, was finally closed in 1961.
