At Westward Ho! on a site adjoining the Front putting green and bus terminus and car parks, much-advocated additional public conveniences have been erected. At their November meeting Northam Urban Council were told that, after renewed Council representations, the Ministry of Housing and Local Government had had "second thoughts" and had agreed to issue the necessary loan consent.
