Tuesday was a special day in the long history of Dolton village school and particularly so for the 40 children who attend it. They dressed up in clothes of the 1850 period as part of the celebrations at the school which this year is 125 years old.
Mr Charles Watts, I hear, has bought Halsdon House at Dolton. The six bed room property is a Grade 2 listed building standing in a lovely park and woodland of 14 acres. Estate agents, Michelmore Hughes stated no official announcement regarding the buyer has been made.
Official opening of £1/2 million factory development by specialist engineering group Boughton and Sons Ltd. already at Dartmouth and Winkleigh. Boughtons started in 1897, Mr Stephen Boughton grandson of the founder is managing this Dolton based gear division of the group.
