The wedding of Mr Graham White, youngest son of Mr and Mrs J White, 26 New Street, Appledore, and Miss Angela Mary Bond, twin daughter of Mr and Mrs E Bond, 34 Irsha Street, Appledore, took place at St Mary’s Church, Appledore. 

The bridegroom is a member of Bideford Amateur Rowing Club’s junior championship crew and was also a member of the club’s novice championship crew. 

The Vicar, Rev R C Dixon, officiated at the service and Mrs Parks, at the organ, accompanied the hymns. Bridesmaids were Misses Susan Lee and Rachael Folly, friends, and the bride’s niece Margaret Hopkins. The page was the bridegroom’s nephew Andrew White. Best man was Mr Keith Reeve. Following a reception at Tanton’s Hotel, Bideford, Mr and Mrs White left for a honeymoon touring South Devon. The bridesmaids’ dresses were made by Mrs J Lee and the wedding cake by the bridegroom’s mother.
