Miss Lily Ford

A teacher at Appledore Council School for more than 35 years, Miss Lily Ford, of Taw View, Appledore, has died at her sister’s home after a long illness. She was 73.

The Rev G H Watkeys officiated at the funeral with Mr J Dalby as organist.

Mourners attending were: Mr J Evans; Mr and Mrs Horace Ford, Mr and Mrs G Tiffen (also representing Mrs L T Ford), Mr and Mrs P Ford, Mr and Mrs Harold Ford, Mr and Mrs S Ford, Mr and Mrs Anthony Ford (also representing Mrs F Ford); Mrs F M Petley, Mrs L Lloyd, Mrs T S Lamey, Capt and Mrs R Scilly, Mr T Smith, Capt V Harris, Mr J Williams, Mr C Day.

Unavoidably absent were: Miss O Ford and Mrs J Evans.

Funeral arrangements were by Messrs H Ford and Sons, Appledore.
