These youngsters did something worthwhile over the Whitsun holiday.

They are the six boys who made up the Bideford County Secondary School patrol that took part in the gruelling Ten Tors expedition on Dartmoor.

The boys are Brian Smith, of Fremington; Stuart Lane, Kevin Stach, Christopher Brackstone, David Hughes and Roger Humphrey, all of Bideford.
