Buckland Brewer brothers win in ploughing matches

Brothers David and Norman Poole maintained the family tradition at the Torridge Group of Young Farmers’ Clubs’ ploughing match on Friday, carrying off five prizes between them.

The match was at Gribble, Little Torrington, the farm of the President, Mr G Crocker. The group incorporates Bradworthy, Buckland Brewer, Hartland, Little Torrington, Shebbear and Clawton clubs. Group leader is Mr A Bewes, chairman Mr D Crocker, hon. treasurer Miss A Goaman and joint hon. secretaries Messrs D Daniel and D Cobbledick.
