A demonstration of savoury supper dishes was given by two representatives of the SWEB,

Misses Sansam and Robinson, at the monthly meeting of Instow WI, presided over by Miss Berry Torr in the absence through illness of the president. They were thanked by Mrs Pollard-Lowsley.

The competition - home made sweets - was judged by the demonstrators who awarded: 1. Mrs Joy; 2. Miss Feist; 3. Mrs Brimley.

Tea hostesses were Mesdames Beer and Steward, assisted by Mesdames Louden, Joy and J Molland. A trading stall was run by Mesdames Prouse and Wesley.
