Members of Hartland Women’s Institute

arranged a children’s New Year party in the Church Hall last Friday and our photographer snapped some of the children at the tea table with members of the committee.

After tea the children enjoyed games and competitions and a highlight of the evening was a puppet show presented by members of the Combe Martin Women’s Institute.

Members of the committee, are: Mesdames A George, F Johns, W Turner, W Slee, J Clarke, R Johns, M Lovell, J Chadder, W Cottell, L Jeffery and L Webber.

The previous night the Institute held its annual New Year’s party for members and friends and the gathering of over 100 spent an enjoyable time. There were games, competitions and dancing with Mr Leon Moore as MC.
