Back to school on Monday,

after a couple of days extra holiday to allow for their return from a winter sports holiday at Hochsolden, in the Austrian Tyrol, were 34 girls from Edgehill College, Bideford.

Most of the party, which was under the leadership of Major and Mrs Ralph de Pomerai, of Westcombe, Bideford, are seen in the photograph above.

Two of the girls – Susan Holyoake of Rosebank, Buckleigh, and Margaret Sweetnam, of Cardiff – were awarded Austrian silver badges for skiing as a result of their proficiency in competitions.
