11.2.1955 YFC quiz challenge

Typical of the friendly rivalry that exists between neighbouring branches was the Quiz contest at Buckland Brewer last week when the Bradworthy Club Advisory Committee challenged the local committee to a test of knowledge of agriculture and general topics. A close contest was won by Buckland Brewer by only five points.

One of the most interesting, and certainly the most amusing, items on the programme were the one-minute speeches on subjects selected by Mr R C Roe, area officer, NAAS, who also set the quiz questions.

Appearing in the group photograph are: Messrs D Trewin, R C Roe, M Jackman, R Trewin, S A Brimacome, P Trewin, R G Pomeroy, W Harris, A Hockridge, G Quance, Miss O Hancock, Messrs A Barham, T Taylor, M Andrew and S Brown, J Cann.
