The making of pleated velour cushions, which members of Parkham WI have long admired, was demonstrated at their February meeting by Mrs Westaway.

Mrs Priest thanked her. Mrs Heywood won the penny bag competition and Mrs E Lang a competition that occupied the social half hour, which was run by Mrs Priest and Mrs Glover. She remembered 23 of 25 items that were displayed for a short time.

Mrs Blackwood and Mrs Tucker were hostesses.
