The story of the Nativity was reverently told by children of Buckland Brewer last (Thursday) night, when in the Parish Church, they presented a play written and produced by Mrs David Compton, of Tythecott Mill.

It consisted of short scenes linked by well loved carols, which described and commented upon the action.
Leading roles were taken by Jennifer Barker, Bruce Brown, Margaret Compton and Grenville Brimacombe.
The ready cooperation of women helpers in the village and of the Vicar, Rev H Allmark, is acknowledged by Mrs Compton.
