Langtree Schools’s Happy Atmosphere
Many parents wished they were back at school again when a large number of visitors attended an Open Day at Langtree County Primary School on Friday.
Folk dancing, recorder playing, puppet making and basketry have been added to the curriculum this year, said the headmaster, Mr R A Yeo Jenn, in welcoming the guests.
Great interest was shown in the needlework section, under the direction of Mrs G E Burnett, as several of the articles made at the school had already been on display at teachers’ courses in different parts of the county.
A recorder solo by Barbara Dove as especially appreciated.
The headmaster thanked Mrs Burnett and Miss P K Nute for the support they had given him during the past year.
