Eggs taken from heron's nest
First impressions on looking at this photograph of a boy apparently ‘bird-nesting’ is probably to say ‘reminds me of when I was a lad.’ However the nest is that of a heron which is a protected bird. From this particular nest a number of eggs have been taken recently.
Boys, we all know, love to collect birds’ eggs but it is surely an unwritten law that if you must collect eggs, take only one egg from a nest.
