Torrington Church’s new organ

Replaces 140 year old instrument

Pictured is the new electric organ recently installed in Torrington Parish Church to replace an older instrument which had been in use for some 140 years. The new organ was dedicated last month by the Bishop of Exeter (Dr R.C. Mortimer).

Costing £2,500 it is the work of the John Compton Organ Company. Woodwork was executed to the design of the diocesan architect Mr Herbert Read, of Exeter.
