Diamond jubilee of St Peter’s Church, East-the-Water

Church anniversary

Wednesday was the 60th anniversary of St Peter’s Church, East-the-Water. It was consecrated by the then Bishop of Exeter, Bishop Bickersteth on 28 June 1890, the eve of St Peter’s Day.

30 June 1950 Diamond jubilee of St Peters Church

The church was built in 1889 at a cost of 22,150 with stone from a quarry at Cornborough and built by Mr Glover of Abbotsham.
