Road widening in Northam

During the past week, work has been progressing on the widening of the corner at the junction of Burrough road with Castle street, Northam, so as to make it easier for double-decked omnibuses to use the Lenard road route on the way to Appledore and so by-pass narrow Cross Street.

When the work is complete the buses will return to this alternative route on the run from Bideford to Appledore. Buses returning from Appledore to Bideford will continue to use the Cross Street route.
