Bideford cat comes of age

Joe, belonging to Mr and Mrs L.H. (‘Jack’) Gorrell of 6 Church Walk, Bideford is 21 years old and has received congratulations from the RSPCA on his ‘coming of age’. A friend of two decades of children attending the Church School, Joe spends his time nowadays in the house or just outside sunning himself, but although he is not so active as he used to be he is as intelligent as ever.

Fourteen-years-old Gyp, a Lakeland terrier, is his constant companion at home and they share each other’s chair and basket. Gyp queues behind Joe at mealtimes.
