Wheel at Old Mill Farm

For well over a century the Tape family, father and son, have worked the wheel at the Old Mill Farm, Coombe Valley on the Cornish borderline with Devon.

Above can be seen Mr Fred Tape now well into his seventies. Everything at the farm depends on the old water-wheel which supplies electric light by direct current, milling corn for local farmers, pulping, saw-milling, and other mechanical duties.
