Large assembly at Wednesday’s celebration
Typical of the many smaller Methodist foundations to be found in the North Devon countryside, Landcross Methodist chapel is snugly tucked alongside the Bideford to Torrington main road at its junction with the Bradworthy road.
The chapel was built over a cattle shed which continued to be used as such to at leased 1881.
The present membership of Landcross Chapel is seventeen. The population of Landcross in 1850 was 120 and the present day only 64.
