New refuse arrangements at Clovelly
Mr William Headon who had undertaken duties of refuse collector at Clovelly has devised a system of using a pedal cycle and panniers to overcome the difficulties of this task up and down the cobbled steps of the picturesque but steep High Street.
Refuse collecting duties were formerly carried out by Mr Cecil Braund with his donkey Paul. When Paul died earlier in the year Mr Braund intimated he wished to relinquish his appointment.
