Service with a smile

Bideford Bowling club's wives provide refreshments

Once again contributing much behind the scenes to the success and popularity of Bideford’s annual bowling tournament was the band of Bideford Club members’ wives who provided refreshments in the Rugby Club hall. They served an average of about 100 lunches, 135 teas and 100 coffees a day. The team was led by Mrs Harry Blackmore and Mrs F. Horner.
