Opening of ‘Allardice’ parish hall
An idea put forward fifteen years ago became reality at Parkham on Wednesday afternoon with the opening of an attractive Parish Hall, next door to the village school, before a large assembly of parishioners and people from the surrounding parishes.
As a tribute to the initial help and encouragement given to the project by the Allardice family, who lived at Foxdown, Parkham, the new hall, contemporary in design and costing a total of £4,750, was named ‘The Allardice Hall.’
