Halt proposed when present programme at top of town is completed
This row pf 22 houses now under construction alongside the main Bideford-Bude road, may be among the last Council houses to be built by Bideford Borough Council for the time being.
When this row is completed the Council will have put up over 500 Council houses since the war. The Council has already decided to halt its building programme during the present year once the 30 houses for 1956 – fourteen of them are to be built as an extension to Stucley Road on the Pynes Lane estate – are completed.
