Ceremonial toss

It was Pancake Day on Tuesday but this was an old Polish custom of coupling a toast to the ship-builders with a ceremonial toss into the air.

Mr Gordon Harris found himself the recipient of this surprise tribute at the formal handing over that day of the tug ‘Tur’ built by P.K. Harris and Sons Ltd., of Appledore for the Polish Government.
