£40,000 project at Hansen’s field

Next Tuesday brings the official opening of Bideford’s new cattle market at Hansen’s field, constructed at a cost of just over £40,000. The market takes the place of premises situated between Honestone Street and Meddon Street, erected in 1898, enlarged in 1926 and 1935 and now sold to the North Devon Meat Marketing Society.
