Variety in weather

It has been quite a week for variety in weather – occasional hot sunshine, exceptionally violent thunderstorms and periods of prolonged heavy rain, hailstones ‘as big as walnuts,’ flooding and hay and other crops damaged.

The vagaries of this summer so far are reflected in the above photograph taken at the donkey derby staged at Torrington.
