Bideford’s newest industry began operations this week in a former blacksmith’s shop. The firm was formed almost three years ago in High Wycombe to manufacture space frames for racing cars.

Director Mr K.J. Nicholls told the Gazette that a space frame is the chassis of the modern racing car. Seen in the picture with Mr Nicholls is a new project – the company’s own sports racing two seater called the ‘Nike’. This has had extensive testing, but without its fibre glass body. So far only the moulds for this have been made.
