Arrived safely in Monte Carlo

Mr Nick Rowe of Torrington, completing his second Monte Carlo Rally arrived safely and apparently without incident and also completed the 850-mile mountain circuit in the specified 22 hours. His first Monte ended with a crash. He is accompanied this year by Mr Bob Shutler of Barnstaple and although his Hillman Imp is a private entry there has been support from Rootes.

Mr Rowe is seen on the extreme left of the picture before setting off. On his left is his wife who said she was delighted that he had done so well.
