Steam roller disgraced

Mr Alfred C. Short, now of Bristol, sends a snap he took nearly 60 years ago of a steam roller ‘broken down and disgraced’ in Meddon Street in May 1907. The man standing in the doorway under the barber’s pole is, Mr Short thinks, the barber himself, the late Mr Alfred Stone.
