The new service will be officially inaugurated by the Mayor (Mrs E.J. Brown) at about 6 p.m. that day. At a reception at the Town Hall she will dial the London number of an official of the London-Bidefordian Society. Amplifiers will enable all at the reception to hear the conversation.
