Redevelopment in East-the-Water

A new vista, topped by St Peter’s Church, opens up at Torrington Lane, East-the-Water, with the completion of the demolition under a clearance order of 22 houses. It marks the half-way stage of redevelopment in this vicinity that has been in the pipeline for some years.

Two storey flats for old people with a warden scheme, are to be built this year on the site. Occupants of the cleared area have been rehoused by Bideford Town Council.
