Largest ship built by Appledore Shipbuilders

Everything went smoothly when the 4,500 ton container ship “Manchester Vigour” the largest ship to be built in the covered yard of Appledore Shipbuilders Ltd., was eased out into the River Torridge at the weekend.

The new ship, one of two ordered by Manchester Liners in a contract worth over £4.5 million will be named next month. Appledore Shipbuilders Ltd. have just secured £8 million new orders.
