Celebrating her 95th birthday on Sunday was Miss C M Davis, former sub postmistress of Northam.

Although her health does now permit her to venture beyond her home, The Cairns, Windmill Lane, Miss Davis continues her alert interest in local affairs. Five years ago she published a history of her native Northam.
