The Rev Leonard Woolcott, rector of Langton Malton, Yorks, since 1929, has been appointed to the vicariate of Buckland Brewer, rendered vacant recently by the resignation of the Rev J F Beamish.
A Devonian, Mr Woolcott received early education at the Episcopal School, Exeter. He was ordained in 1914. Writing in the March issue of Hartland Deanery Magazine, Rev. L Woolcott says ‘Although it will be some few weeks before I shall be officially inducted to the benefice of Buckland Brewer, I felt I would take this early opportunity of sending you, on behalf of my wife and myself, our warmest greetings. We are much looking forward to living among you, sharing your joys and sorrows, your friendship and goodwill.’
