Royal North Devon Golf Club hosts the English Women's Golf Championship
Participating in her fourth National Championship since she was runner-up in the Girls’ Championships in 1924, Miss Dorothy Pearson, of Nevill, Tunbridge Wells, defeated Miss Mary Johnson (Hornsea) by 5 and 3 in the thirty-six holes final of the English Women’s Golf Championship at Westward Ho! Miss Pearson is 25 and Miss Johnson, 22.
Miss Gloria D Minoprio caused a sensation with her attire.
