Team walked off

The statement said that the referee, Sergeant C. J. Griffin, of the R.A.S.C., who took the match in the absence of an appointed referee, reported that there was no dispute until the last half-minute of play when the captain called the remainder of the side off the field of play. 

The Shebbear captain, W. Leverton, admitted responsibility for the team leaving the field.
