Three Schools’ Athletics Meeting At Langtree

At the first athletics meeting to be staged between the county primary schools of Buckland Brewer, Instow and Langtree by invitation of the headmaster, Mr R A Yeo Jenn, the host school won the cup by a substantial margin.

After keenly contested events watched by more than 200 parents and friends, Mr Ken Whitfield (player-manager of Bideford AFC) presented the trophy to Langtree sports captain John Sanders and congratulated those responsible for the excellent organisation.

Langtree school was thanked by headmasters Mr L Beech and Mr A F Levick.
