The club which now has membership of 40, has a long history going back to the days of the old Volunteers. In the last war it was incorporated with the Home of Guard. As will be seen by the names mentioned above, it draws on membership from as far afield as Barnstaple, one of whom, Mrs C M Curry, is the only woman shooting member.
Headquarters of the club are at Bideford Drill Hall where they meet on Wednesday evenings for .22 shooting. Once a fortnight they shoot with .303 rifles on Beam range.
