Bideford skittlers got their own back when they entertained a team from Bath at the Maltscoop alley on Saturday.
The game was a return contest for one held a week previously at Bath, which the home team had won by five rubs to one, the match being played under the rules operating locally.
Ivor Jones, the Bideford League secretary, who captained the local side, Cyril Lyle, Arthur Edworthy and Eddie Glover recorded spares for Bideford.
