20.8.1918 Instow

Corporal Edward Wm Yeo, RAMC, a son of Mr and Mrs H Yeo, of Instow, has been promoted to the rank of sergeant. The award is fully deserved, for not only is Corpl. Yeo a most efficient and painstaking non-com., but he has seen three years most arduous service. He went through the landing at Gallopoli and the subsequent operations on the peninsula, next took part in the retreat in Serbia, afterwards doing duty in Egypt, Macedonia and Palestine, being still in the latter country. Sergt Yeo has three brothers with the forces and a fourth is working on aircraft.
